1 Unit on Dallas Cowboys O 43 -110
20-10 last 30 picks here on the FREE selection service. I obviously love the "side" of tonight's Cowboys/Seahawks clash. Right here let's take a look at the MNF TOTAL. Both the Seahawks and Cowboys enter tonight's game with rather stunning "negative" records. Seattle is 6-5 and needs a win to stay ahead of St. Louis in the NFC West race. Like so many other teams in the dismal NFC, the Cowboys check in with a 4-7 record. When you have a pair of struggling squads squaring off in a Monday Night battle, one usually has to take a look at poor defensive play as the culprit. Last season in Bill Parcells' maiden voyage, the Cowboys won 10 games behind the strength of their #1 ranked defense. Obviously, that unit has tailed off dramatically in 2004. Seattle has continually played OVER the total even though the offense has been inconsistent all season primarily due to dropped passes by the wide receivers. Last week, that Seattle offense registered only NINE points in a home loss. Still Seattle's last game soared OVER the total because the defense permitted visiting Buffalo to put up 38 points on the scoreboard. Making matters worse for the Seattle defense, who has allowed a most generous average of 335 yards per game, is the fact that they have been decimated by INJURIES. Tonight the Seahawks will be without FOUR different linebackers including a pair of starters (Chad Brown and Anthony Simmons). In addition, DE Chike Okeafor is questionable while DT Rashad Moore can only play in situational roles due to a shoulder problem. Both of these teams have consistantly played high scoring games this year. In the case of Dallas, they have been forced to PASS the football an inordinate amount of times due to a poor rushing effort by veteran Eddie George. QB Vinnie Testeverde has has 11 days to recover from back and shoulder problems and is HEALTHY tonight. Seattle QB Matt Hasselbeck returned from an injury absence last week and looked "rusty", so I look for him to be much more effective this evening, especially since the entire nation will have a chance to watch him. For the year, Dallas is 5-1 OVER as an underdog. Seattle is a staggering 13-4 OVER SINCE 1992 off a horrible home loss of at least 14 points![/font]
